Mac Eaton, PhD. is a psychologist in private practice in Del Mar and Redlands, California. He did his under- graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley and his graduate work at the University of Chicago, where he received his doctorate in Human Development. His early training in psychotherapy was at the Counseling Center at the University of Chicago, founded by Carl Rogers, and he was deeply influenced by this approach to psychotherapy. Subsequentially, he taught on the faculty at California State University San Bernadino for ten years where he assisted in the formation of the Masters' program in Counseling and attained the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. He has been practicing psychotherapy for forty years. He has trained many generations of psychotherapists and been keynote speaker at two conferences.

Mac's approach to his work comes from BioEnergetics and Client Centered Therapy. He combines these two approaches to psychotherapy in a way that emphasizes the priority of the relationship and the power of body- work. Mac has also been influenced by the work of Gendlin, Schnarch, Shapiro, Perls, Hendrix, and Levine.
